Robert Monteiro Jr - Owner

Monteiro, a Woonsocket High School Class of 2000 graduate, opened Lost Brothers Pallet Corp. in a 14,000-square-foot rental space on Singleton Street in 2014 moving headquarters to a 2.4-acre, 22,000-square-foot space on River Street in 2016. The business recycles and repairs old pallets and builds custom pallets for businesses that need to move goods.

Reusing each piece of the old material down to the nail, Lost Brothers makes its profit from “junk,” that would otherwise take up space in landfills. With the motto “recycling wood for a bigger forest,” the company has clients both large and small. “We recycle everything that comes through here,” Monteiro said. “We’re a very green company.”

Wood is repurposed, and everything from the nails, to plastic wrap and cardboard packaging the pallets often come in, is put back to work. Unusable wood is grinded down to sawdust used for mulch.

“Every piece of the product is used from start to finish,” Monteiro said. (referencing article https://www.valleybreeze.com/news/former-grossman-s-has-new-owner/article_1dd69fe7-199b-5812-8890-2cc6688d9f92.html#.V8hnSZgrKHc )
